Learn Aikido! With Aikido, you will learn to effectively redirect the energy of your opponent in a non-violent and non-aggressive way. You will learn to develop and utilise your "ki" energy.
If you choose the dojo Seishin-Seii on Helmersstraat 140 in the Hague you can follow the absolute beginners classes. Learn about the history of Aikido, philosophy, basic techniques and how to fall. All ages from 6 years and up are welcome. The dojo cho, Francisca van Leeuwen Sensei is 79 years old and still can work with big guys. On the photo she let herself being thrown by her grandson 4 years at that time.
Beginners classes will take place on Mondays up and including Thursdays 19.00- 20.00. Beginners of 40+years can also join the Saturday morning group at 10:15-11:15.
